Max Speak

Stabilo hang in at #5 for a second week with Don't Look In Their Eyes, the third release from their Max Platinum CD Happiness and Disaster. The single became their first Top 10 single after four of their previous hits had quick rises but all failed to make it. They first broke onto the Canadian radio scene in late 2004 with Everybody. That song had a very quick rise up the chart but stalled at #23. They beat that with One More Pill (#14) but with the release of their first full-length album, they have set a place on the charts for their songs and continue to make inroads with them.

Jann Arden makes her second Top 10 appearance on The Max. The last time she made it was with Thing For You from her 2001 Best Of collection entitled Greatest Hurts. Jann made a comeback in 2005 with her self titled sixth studio album and the big hit Where No One Knows Me (#19). Bring The Boys Home (16-10*) is the first single from her seventh CD Uncover Me.

David Usher gets the second highest chart entry of his career as his new single The Music leaps onto the Top 100 at #22. That doesn't beat his previous best of A Day In The Life which entered the chart at #13 in early 2002. The new single is the first release from David's upcoming Strange Birds disc, the first from him as a solo artist and the second on an indie label. David's chart history has been fairly impressive as he has three #1 singles and eight Top 10 hits in total. That's enough to tie him with Jason Mraz as the solo male artist with the most #1s but he does have the most Top 10s for a solo-male artist.
Speaking of Jason Mraz, he also has an entry on the chart this week down at #85 with the theme song from the show Ugly Betty called The Beauty In Ugly, which marks his seventh Max single.

Snow Patrol continue to make it big on The Max as their second single Set The Fire To The Third Bar featuring Canadian songstress Martha Wainwright jumps 6-2*. That song also receives a Gold certification this week making it their second. This comes just a week after their album Eyes Open hit Platinum just 3 weeks after it entered at #2 on The Max Top 10 Album chart. This week, that album moves 3-1*.
