Max Speak

The Arcade Fire have a huge week this week as their album Neon Bible enters the album chart on the top to become their first #1 album after the #2 peak of Funeral. The CD also receives a Gold certification as well. And three of the songs from that album leap a collective of 91 positions upward on this week's chart. Black Mirror accounts for 8 of those as it moves 28-22*. Intervention reaches a new peak of #53 after being at #86 last week, which is a jump of 33 and the biggest mover of the week is a 52-point jump from #92 to #40 which is for Keep The Car Running.

Lucinda Williams blasts into the chart all the way up at #26 this week with her first Max Chart hit for Are You Alright? to become the second song to enter inside the Top 40 so far this year. In January, David Usher jumped in at #22 with The Music. In addition to her singles entry, her album West moves in to #2 on the album chart making it her first album to chart there as well.

The certification system is moving back to full swing as four titles get certified this week. The aforementioned Arcade Fire album Neon Bible goes Gold while the Decemberists CD The Crane Wife moves into the Platinum range. On the singles side, Jason Mraz goes Gold with The Beauty In Ugly and Pink receives a Gold award for Dear Mr. President.

Regina Spektor makes an unexpected jump to land at #1 this week with her first single Fidelity. The song becomes the fourth #1 song of 2007 following Nelly Furtado (Say It Right), Snow Patrol (Set The Fire To The Third Bar) and the Decemberists (O Valenica!). Regina's CD Begin To Hope also enters the album chart this week at #4.
