Max Speak

Serena Ryder is #1 for the fourth week with Weak In The Knees. The song is just one week away from tying the Decemberists song O Valencia for the year's longest running #1. So far in 2007, there have already been seven chart toppers but only two of those have hung in there for 4 weeks or more, with Serena being the second.

The Dixie Chicks get their 12th Top 10 hit this week as The Neighbor moves 13-10*. The song is available as an iTunes single only and it was a track from the documentary based on their last 3 years Shut Up And Sing. So far, the trio has gotten two Top 10s from their first CD Wide Open Spaces and three each from their other three albums Fly, Home and Taking The Long Way, the last of which also had three #1 hits, two of which are still currently charting.
And in relation to the Chicks, their CD Taking The Long Way Home is certified this week as Triple Platinum. It becomes the 28th CD to receive a Max Triple Platinum certification (including all back-certifications) and only the second this year following Ghost Stories by Chantal Kreviazuk.

Following a very disappointing #51 peak for Lithium, Evanescence are finally able to properly followup the Top 10 smash from last year Call Me When You're Sober with Sweet Sacrifice, which jumps 51-36* this week, becoming one of the four Top 40 entries.

Country duo the Wreckers match their career peak as Tennessee moves 10-6*. Previously, Leave The Pieces peaked at #6 as their highest charting position. Of course, Michelle Branch has had a #1 hit from 2003 with Breathe as a solo artist. The big question is whether she can do it again as part of the duo.
