Max Speak

Serena Ryder remains atop the chart for a 10th week, giving her the #1 song to last in the double digits on The Max Chart since February 2005 when Avril Lavigne was finishing up a record-shattering 17 consecutive weeks at #1 with Nobody's Home. Serena's Weak In The Knees has held on to the top for 10 non-consecutive weeks, with a 4-week interuption by Brandi Carlile with The Story, which has since held on to #2, and Maroon 5's single week with Makes Me Wonder.

Kelly Clarkson earns her third Top 10 single this week with Sober advancing ahead 11-3* in its fifth week on the chart. With this week's move, the song becomes Kelly's highest position on The Max besting the twice-peaked-at-#6 song Since U Been Gone. Kelly's album My December also debuts at #1 this week, beating the #3 peak of Breakaway.

Four songs move into the Top 40 this week with the highest a Top 100 debut as well. Tegan and Sara make a grande entrance at #5 with the first single from their upcoming CD The Con. That album is expected to break point barriers upon its release at the end of June for The Max Album chart as it is the first record to come out following the hugely successful (for The Max!) CD So Jealous. The duo, which consists of the twin sisters, have never had a major influence on the singles chart but their albums have each had an impact on their own in different times with So Jealous reaching a Max certification of 6x Platinum, the only album released in the last five years to reach such a status.

Also entering the Top 40 is the third song from Life In Cartoon Motion by Mika to make The Max called Relax (Take It Easy) (58-21*). That song follows two Top 10 hits for Mika. Tori Amos moves 69-38* with Bouncing Off Clouds, the second release from American Doll Posse following the Top 10 hit Big Wheel and the Decemberists follow-up their #1 smash O Valencia with The Perfect Crime #2 as that moves 46-40*.
