Max Speak

Tegan and Sara had a high chart entry a few weeks back when Back In Your Head entered at #5. They do it again this week as The Con does that four positions better by debuting at #1. It's the first song to do so since Wonderful by Chantal Kreviazuk premiered at the top spot late last year. Thus, this song becomes the highest debut of the year so far and can obviously only be tied from here on out.

KT Tunstall scores herself another Top 5 hit as the first single from her upcoming CD Drastic Fantastic leaps 23-5*. Hold On becomes KT's fifth song to reach this point of the chart. Of course, the other four all became #1 hits so Hold On does have a lot to live up to. Either way, it's off to a great start!

Mika gets his third Top 10 hit in a row following Grace Kelly (69-70; PP #3) and Love Today (32-31; PP #7). All three songs come from his Max-certified Platinum album Life In Cartoon Motion.

Pink continues an extreme chart oddity this week. Her song Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely) moves to a new peak of #27 this week in its 22nd week on the chart. Previously, U + Ur Hand reached a chart peak of #26 after being on the chart for over 20 weeks and this week, a hit from last year returns to the Top 40. Who Knew moves 45-40 in its overall 37th week on the chart as the song experiences a strong resurgence and re-release to radio.
