After eight weeks of reigning the top of the album chart, the artists that had the #1 album of 2004 with So Jealous get replaced by the artist with 2005's #1 album Eye Of The Telescope. KT Tunstall replaces Tegan and Sara with her new album Drastic Fantastic, giving her her third #1 record in a row following Telescope and last year's release Acoustic Extravaganza, which didn't make it to the top until January of this year, which also gives KT the distinction of being the only artist to have two #1 albums so far this year.
David Usher gets his third Top 10 hit in a row from Strange Birds as Some People Say moves from last week's debuting position of #13 to #5 this week, automatically beating out the #7 peak of Ugly Is Beautiful. There is alittle confusion as to what his new single is as two tracks from his album are currently getting airplay in Canada. Expect the other song So Far Down to make a chart appearance in the coming weeks as well.
Regina Spektor flew into the #1 spot earlier this year with Fidelity but has since seemed to have gone little noticed as Samson slowly inched its way into the Top 10, and has fallen 9-15 this week. This week, she charts with two tracks. On The Radio and Better, the latter of which moves 47-38* to be one of this week's three Top 40 entries.
