Utopia
Utopia is the first new studio song we've heard from Alanis Morissette since her contribution to Dogma in which she played God in 1999 and the radio unreleased song Still, which could have been a hit. Utopia is not your typical radio song. It was released in response to 9/11 on the internet because Alanis felt it had a good theme and the subject of this song was a peaceful utopia. It's like a song you'd find near the end of a CD that you rarely ever listen to even if it's a hidden gem. It's hard to really get into this one and if you are, you're not really hooked. Not bad for Alanis but not her best. I'm looking forward to the rest of her CD, though. C10/20/01
Out Is Through
After Everything came out, I wasn't too impressed nor excited with the latest project from Alanis but I was pleasantly surprised at the entire CD and one of the best tracks on her CD So Called Chaos is a single overseas called Out Is Through. It's mild-Alanis and while not varying too far from her usual style, it's still a pleasant listen. I don't come away feeling like something is missing.

Alanis Morissette is one of the most successful artists in the history of The Max with seven #1 singles and twelve Top 10 hits. And those aren't even including songs from her biggest CD Jagged Little Pill. From her peak in early 1999 where she had four #1s from her second CD Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie to her recent Greatest Hits collection, Alanis has always found her way to break into the upper portion of the charts and will likely continue to.
