A Day In The Life
I knew this song since last Summer but it just hit radio a few weeks ago. I was glad that this song was released as it is one of my favourites on the CD. I love to sing along with the song and it's one of those songs that gives the shivers when you listen to it. For me, it was when the line "and I don't wanna die" came along. It's got that great rock vibe to it and David has the classic voice that we're used to from Moist. Although it's not the same Alternative sound that Moist fans are used to, it's good to see David carve out his own. I think this song should do as good as his others from the Morning Orbit CD. The Music
David Usher's latest single from his first album Strange Birds starts off with a verse that almost seems out of his Little Songs days but the chorus reminds us that since his debut CD, he's had three more mainstream sounding releases and this one fits right at home in between Hallucinations and If God Had Curves. With that said, this song immediately surpasses anything from the latter and brings David's music back to life. While the song is destined to go the way of Love Will Save The Day, it shows that he still has it in him and the new album shouldn't be a disappointment.

David's first single to The Max, Alone In The Universe, stormed up the chart in the summer of 2001. His next five singles all manage to make it into the Top 2 and each spent at least nearly half a year on the chart, with Surfacing being his biggest hit on The Max chart. The first release from his fourth CD If God Had Curves entitled Love Will Save The Day ended that streak by peaking at #3 and due to the chart cutoff in 2005, had a short lifespan of 13 chart appearances, or 13 weeks. His career on The Max album chart has remained intact though, with all of his CDs entering at #1.
