O Valencia!
This track caught me by storm. Colin Meloy's voice isn't typical in that of a rock singer. This folk/indie/prog.rock band really take it home on this incredible song. The vocals stick out, the chorus is memorable and the tempo is just right as an introduction to the band which makes acoustic rock its home.

The Decemberists are brand new to The Max chart but in only three weeks, they managed to debut at #1 on the album chart with their fourth release The Crane Wife, which also received a Max Gold certification the week after, and their first single O Valencia hit #1 and also going Gold. They have an all-around perfect record on The Max with a #1 album, #1 single, a Gold CD and a Gold song. All in less than a month. That's definately a record and an awesome indication of what's to come.
