Did You Get My Message
The first time I heard this track, I was amazed. Jason is stylin' on the vocals with featured guest Rachael Yamagata. They pass the mic back and forth as she responds to his questions of did you get my message. Basically, a message that somehow got lost through the phonelines after a disagreement. The rhyming is slick and the verses are just so zany but at the same time, seem like something you'd hear all the time. I'd put this on par with Jason's best track On Love, In Sadness. A05/22/06
Jason Mraz' chart history has been anything but dismal. Ever since The Remedy hit #1, he has been able to make it to the top position a total of three times. And to top it off, one of his non-#1 hits You And I Both holds the record of longest running single in The Max history! A total of 74 weeks spent inside the Top 100 in one chart run. To put that in perspective, a baby would be conceived, both and be over nine months old in the time that song spent on the chart. Two of his studio albums both hit #1 on the album chart for a combined total of 16 weeks.
