Welcome To The Black Parade

There's a lot of promo for the new My Chemical Romance album and the first single seems to be doing quite well so I had to check it out, especially considering it has been tied with the word "epic". The first thing I notice about it is that it seems to incorporate some stylings from 70s rock 'n roll to today's modern rock sound that we see in a lot of punk-rock bands like Sum41 or Fall Out Boy. The only thing really missing to make this song truly epic is a huge strings section near the end and an all-out rockin' guitar solo. B10/24/06

history

After having success on rock, My Chemical Romance made a major crossover with the release of The Black Parade, an album that has been getting comparisons to Green Day's American Idiot. We all know how huge that album was and with the first single from MCR's album going Top 10, it can be a sure bet that their CD will be one of the biggest of 2007.
