Signal Fire
This song sounds like a generic soundtrack song, much like the way recent singles from Rob Thomas and Sheryl Crow have sounded. That's not to say it's a bad thing because both of those songs have been pretty good. This song, however, I don't think has anything to differentiate it from everything else. It just blends in with everything else, and following the great songs Chasing Cars and Set The Fire To The Third Bar, that's a disappointment. I'll try to give this song a chance but I think I'll be sitting this fire out.C5/13/07
Snow Patrol looked like they fluked when their song Chasing Cars went to #2 for over a month in late 2006. When their album debuted at #2 on the album chart, it looked like things might solidify. A few short weeks later, their CD became certified Platinum by The Max becoming the fastest platinum album from chart entry on The Max and they continue to be on fire on the singles chart with Set The Fire To The Third Bar demonstrating that they won't be a flukey one-hit-wonder.
