reviews
Uglywith Bubba Sparxxx

This sounds like a Timbaland single. I have no idea if it is (2007 edit: LOL!!) but it sounds like the typical rap song but when the chorus comes along, it actually sounds like a mess. It doesn't seem organized really but something screaming out while someone is repeating "ugly". I can't say I'll really enjoy this one too much. D11/17/01

SexyBackwith Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake picks up where Nelly Furtado started a few months back. After appearing in the video for Promiscuous, he must have been inspired to drop the Michael Jackson-wannabe act and do something that has style. SexyBack is different from anything so far this year the way Promiscuous was. Timbaland adds flair to the chorus and the beat is on fiyah! I'm pleased at Justin's vocal tracks on this. It's a clubbanger! Considering I didn't like much of Justin's stough before and if I did, I wouldn't admit to it, the fact that I love this is a big thing. A08/06/06

Give It To Mefeaturing Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake

Timbaland has produced another winner. The biggest producer of 2006 continues his sound into the new year and he does it by enlisting the vocalists behind his two biggest hits of last year Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake. I think the three of them together have earned this song, which is essentially their bragging song. The song is backed with another catchy beat along with a singable chorus and features a verse each from Timbaland, Nelly and Justin, with Nelly doing double duties for the chorus as well. Probably just a precursor to Tim's new album that's supposed to drop soon, it will surely be the big hit for the slump early months of 2007. B2/5/07

history

Timbaland's career began in the mid-90s working with Aaliyah and Missy Elliott. On The Max Chart, most of his singles are as a featured artist in which he contributes some vocals to a song, such as with his appearances on three Aaliyah hits including her #1 smash Try Again. It wasn't until 2003 that he got his first single as the lead artist of a song with Cop That Sh!t but in 2007, he got his first major single with Give It To Me, featuring two other artists that helped to propell him there the year before, Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake, with whom he's also achieved Top 10 hits with. Now that he's officially crossed the line from hit producer to hit maker, Timbaland is sure to have a big year with his album Shock Value.
