I've been a fan of music charts for almost as long as I can remember. It started off with Casey's Top 40 when I was younger which eventually lead to following Radio & Records and Billboard when I got access to the internet. All of those have helped me to keep up-to-date on the latest in music and what songs are popular in various scenarios and locations, depending on genre, format, country, etc. I've learned a lot about the radio and music industry due to these interests and a lot of the time the hows and whys certain songs become as big as they are and why other songs don't, as well as why being "good" doesn't correlate with "popularity". Despite the national charts, I've made some of my own as well. Below are some of my favourite songs and albums of certain years.
