Either way, I thank you for visiting and I figure it appropriate to introduce myself. My name is Michael Browne. I currently reside in Halifax, Nova Scotia where I've lived for nearly eight years. I was born in Newfoundland and grew up there until I graduated high school and came to Halifax. I attended Dalhousie University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Not knowing what to do immediately after graduation, I decided to make an attempt at doing something I'd been interested in since I was younger: |
| music. Not having much musical ability in the way of playing instruments, I took a Recording Arts program at Nova Scotia Community College to dive further into the process of how music is made. Both Psychology and Recording Arts were two programs I enjoyed very much for different ways. I consider both to be an asset to my learning and general development. Aside from my schooling, I also have other interests and hobbies. Being someone who enjoys being in control of one's environment, I very much enjoy anything that allows me to be creative in some form. I like to write, take photographs, make web pages, dream, imagine. Being as realistic as I tend to be, most of what I've made or want to make has been held back but occasionally I like to let my imagination run wild with ideas, most of which never make it to a solid, permanent form. Some of what I've made or have been involved with I've compiled into what makes up the bulk of this website. Mostly consisting of photos, there are also some short videos, songs, writings and other things I've made over the years. I consider this web space to be my Centre of Operations online, where everything I make comes together; an online portfolio and an invitation to get to know me beyond how I present myself in everyday life at a coffee shop or on Facebook. Maybe you'll learn something interesting, grow to like me a bit more or maybe even dislike me. Who knows? Either way, I hope you enjoy your visit. |
