How to use TheMaxOnline

Sometimes people I know who happen to visit this page on a somewhat regular basis will tell me they prefer to only read my firsthand stories/events while other people I know, such as in an online setting, like to read my music-based blogs so I wonder whether maybe my mixture of different topics on my blog might act as a deterrent for people to make repeat visits back. There is a way to sort through the stuff that doesn't interest you! Here's how:

If you have this page bookmarked, you can remove that bookmark and bookmark it again but using any of the following URLs as the source link.
The categories to the side there are done depending on what my blog post will be about. Sometimes there is an overlap. My personal events and firsthand stories will be under the Times category. That one overlaps most with the Photos category as sometimes my firsthand events will be accompanied by pictures that I have taken. Any of my music blogs, of course, will be categorized under Music. This includes review, talking about a concert or a specific music-related event or whathaveyou. Movies typically will be Movie Reviews since I don't talk about movies otherwise (unless I happen to watch next year's Emmy Awards), and Television is about various television shows that I watch and may happen to blog about such as the recent Big Brother ones. Other tends to be everything else. Rants, politics, external events that aren't directly linked to anything else.
As of now, this is how I've chosen to immediately organize my blogs. Could use some work. Perhaps a reassessment. Until then, there are other URL tags you can bookmark to further direct you.

I write a lot of reviews, which you can find by clicking on that. Interested only in my Music Reviews? Or perhaps just the Movie Reviews? Sometimes I'll write a collective of blogs on a specific subject which can be found using one link, such as my recent trip to Montreal and even just Traveling in general or my ongoing thoughts about the recent season of Big Brother 13.

And finally, there is a working search function at the very top. Think I've written about something that you don't see in the tags section? A singer other than Lady GaGa and Adele or Arcade Fire, type it in the Searchbox and every mention of that subject will show in the results. If you think I need to broaden my frame of thought, you can say so by using any of the MANY comment boxes that follow any and every blog and most of the other sections on here. You can find those by clicking on the title of any blog and scrolling to the bottom. For this blog, you can click here. Try it!

Travels

I just added a new Travel section to my photography page which now finally has pictures from my trip to Europe last year as well as a few from Toronto. I'll add more as I travel, which is occasionally. For now, check out these pictures!

New design again

I've spent the last couple of days working on this new design for TheMaxOnline. Probably the quickest amount of time it has taken me to do a complete overhaul of this site but I've also pretty much spent most of the last two days doing it. Changing everything over, editing the design, organizing, planning, etc. So this is the new space. My digital home!

I've been able to do this with the help of WordPress, which allows anyone to either host a blog on their site, or download a folder to upload to your server and do it that way.

I think what I like most about this site, aside from it's more professional look, is that I can update it freely with my iPhone. When an idea comes to me, wherever I am, I can log in and edit, add, whatever. Add photos. It's great! This space is also much more interactive. Hopefully the "likes" work for each page... and hopefully people like things enough to "like" them on facebook. I think I'll be adding more to this site than I have to past sites because WordPress allows me to automatically organize blogs, spaces, anything I add. And if I come up with something that doesn't fit with what's already in place? I can just add another category.

So that's what's going on here. This is my digital home and everyone is welcome to drop by anytime they want!
